Data Analytics Specialist / Data Scientist

The Data Centre of Excellence requires a resource to support the design and development of analytical data products & services to enable the GoA to better leverage its data assets and support implementation of the GoA Data Strategy. Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and share analytical models and products
• Provide continuous improvement of analytics capacities
• Design and support development of analytic service offerings
• Analyze and organize raw data, preparing it for prescriptive and predictive modeling, while building algorithms that deliver business value
• Support development of full-stack data analytics or AI applications as required
• Provide expertise and leadership in the design and completion of analytic projects
• Evaluate business needs, enhance data quality, and design analytical tools to support data services
• Conduct complex data analysis and collaborate with data engineers and analysts
• Coach and mentor team members, fostering a client-centric approach
• Create and present options, roadmaps, frameworks, models, and briefings for senior executives
• Apply probability models, machine learning, computer programming, statistics, data engineering, pattern recognition, and data visualizations
• Design and create dashboards and custom reporting
• Gather and document client requirements
• Capture business and technical metadata for analytical products

Deliverables: Status reports (weekly and monthly), specific deliverables determined by client team in conjunction with project management.
